Responsibilities:
Evaluates, designs, and maintains domains, servers, and applications throughout the enterprise, using Windows, Linux, SharePoint and SQL. Troubleshoots Windows, Linux, SharePoint and SQL infrastructure and system problems. Deploys, administers, and supports vendor and in-house applications and associated hardware. Performs some customization, testing, and debugging on vendor-supplied utilities and enterprise applications. Maintains necessary metrics and documentation. Provides technical proposals and recommendations to various company organizations. Stays current with new technologies. Operates under moderate supervision.

Essential Functions -

  • Monitors performance and proactively administers assigned systems and applications (Windows, Linux, or UNIX). Applications will range from SharePoint, SQL, IIS in a DMZ environment.
  • Provides regular reports on performance, project status, and other infrastructure data, as required by management.
  • Maintains data, software, and hardware security and emergency procedures.
  • Works with hardware vendors to provide corrective and preventive hardware maintenance.
  • Evaluates, installs and tests systems/network hardware and software.
  • Assists with on-going assessment and upgrading of systems and infrastructure. Researches, evaluates and recommends hardware and software for systems and helps plan for the future.
  • Helps troubleshoot medium to complex systems related problems.
  • Communicates and coordinates with other system administrators and users, using the Siemens PLM Change Control System and other standard communication processes.
  • Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 end-user support, as required, using standard tools and processes. Meets response/service levels as determined by IT.
  • Writes some user and system administration documentation.
  • Maintains/expands technical knowledge of system administration and engineering through self-study and structured courses.

  • Ability to perform occasional night and weekend system administration, on- site and remotely, planned or unplanned.
  • Physical ability to install systems and other hardware on data-center racks.

Kalamazoo College is conducting a national search for the Director of the Center for Career Development. The Director will manage budgets and supervise staff in the Center and have primary responsibility for developing and implementing career development programs including values/interests assessment, career counseling and advisement, internships and externships, student work study, employer services, and on- and off-campus recruitment. She or he will report directly to the Provost, and work in close collaboration with the Associate Provost for International Programs, the Director of Service-Learning, and the Director of Guilds, to further develop and provide students a coherent and developmental array of experiences in international and experiential education. Kalamazoo College, and its 40+ year-old "K-Plan", has long provided students an integrated educational experience consisting of intense study in the liberal arts, experiential educational opportunities (including the rich array of internship and externship opportunities overseen by the Center), study abroad, and Senior Individualized Projects. Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and staff development skills required. Masters degree in an area that emphasizes experiential or cooperative education and/or career development, or substantial leadership experience in the integration of career development, internship, and/or work/service-learning into students' educational programs is required. Ability to work collaboratively with peers and to think innovatively is a must. Experiences that include an international focus are a plus. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong student-centered orientation and a clear understanding of the role of experiential learning and career development at a small, residential, liberal arts college.

Collaborating with internal partners - including student leaders, Harward Center for Community Partnerships, Dean of Students, advancement officers, and faculty and academic deans - as well as with alumni, parents, consortia colleagues, and employer representatives throughout corporate, non-profit, governmental, and educational organizations is an important responsibility of the Director. Additionally, the Director oversees ongoing coordination between the Office of Career Services (OCS) and the Medical Studies and Graduate Fellowships Committees of the faculty and preprofessional advising in the fields of business and law. Overall, the Senior Internal Auditor position is responsible for supporting, planning, supervising staff, and executing Internal Audit and/or Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (Sox 404) projects. Qualifications:

We require some prior experience supervising junior level resources in the areas of internal audit or Sox 404. This position requires national travel and may require international travel.

Demonstrated experience with:

- Written and verbal communication of results to stakeholders of projects

- Internal control design and effectiveness understanding

- Business process flow

Minimum Qualifications (including years of experience preferred):

- Minimum 3 - 4 years of business experience in the areas of internal audit, internal controls assessment, and/or Sox 404 evaluation and testing.

- Bachelor's degree required. Major in Accounting is preferred. MBA is a plus.

- Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, or other related accounting professional certification is preferred.

- Prefer industry experience in Energy, Healthcare, Insurance, but not necessary.
