In the age of social networking, blogs, podcasts, video and all things mobile, Gen Y is consuming and sharing information unlike any generation we've seen. Growing up in the Internet age, “net kids” as a whole like to customize everything they do; collaborate; value integrity and live relatively easily with information overload. And in this evolving landscape, it’s critically important for career services professionals to “be where the millennials are” and connect/collaborate with students and young alumni on their terms in order to not just be effective, but be a strategic asset to the institution.
This session will cover all things Web 2.0 and how colleges/universities, alumni associations and organizations can execute on new strategies to engage a larger share of Gen Y with their offerings.
