Executive Board Nominations

On behalf of the Midwest ACE Executive Board, the Nominatiing committee is asking Midwest ACE members to submit nominations for three (3) board positions to be filled on July 1, 2020. This is the time of year when we can each recognize and nominate colleagues who have shown great promise to serve in specific leadership roles on the Executive Board.

Who may make a nomination?

Candidates interested in serving on the Midwest ACE Executive Board may self nominate or be nominated by their colleagues.

Eligibility for Office:

  • To be eligible as a candidate for elected office a member must have served for at least one year in one or more of the following capacities: Committee Chair or Vice-Chair (including the Conference Committee), or Task Force Chair or Vice-Chair.
  • Only Voting Members may be nominated to an elected office.

What is the nomination process?

  1. The Nominating committee will review all candidates to identify those with the strongest qualifications pertinent to the available open positions. The committee will strive to develop a slate representing the diversity, across a wide variety of dimensions of members.
  2. Midwest ACE members will receive a ballot of candidates for election to the Executive Board. Those candidates receiving the greatest number of votes will begin official service on July 1, 2020.

Newly elected Executive Board members will participate in orientation activities prior to that date and will attend the in-person May 2020 Executive Board meeting as observers.
