Have you ever wanted to explore and dive-deeper into the theories that guide the work of career services professionals?  Join us for an 8-week career certificate program that will enrich your career coaching practice.

Beginning with the fundamentals of coaching and mico-counseling skills, the program will move through theories like Planned Happenstance, Social Cognitive Theory, Career Construction, and multicultural career counseling, to name a few.  In this program you will:

  • Explore career counseling theories and coaching models with historical and multicultural context
  • Connect career counseling theories with tools and activities to utilize with students during one-on-one and group settings
  • Develop an understanding of the theory and how to appropriately implement theory with individual students
  • Practice career coaching tools and strategies with fellow participants

The program will meet on Friday mornings from 9-11am CST beginning on April 7th and concluding May 26th.  The cost for the program  is $600 per MWACE member participant and $750 per non-member participant.  All sessions will be held virtually over Zoom.  Seats are limited to 36 individuals, with a minimum of 16 needed to facilitate the program. Participants will receive a career coaching workbook guide for weekly topics, tools and activities to use during student appointments, and access to learning materials.  Participants will also receive a certificate at the conclusion of the program.
