What is your favorite activity to do locally and why? Play with or watch the local Champaign-Urbana roller derby team, Twin City Derby Girls (Illinois).

Name three countries you would like to visit: Brazil, Thailand, New Zealand

What part of your current job is your favorite? Getting to know the individuals seeking to apply to our online program. Everyone has such a unique story.


President-Elect: Monica Hood, Enterprise Rent-A-Car 

How do you like to spend a rainy day? Watching movies with too many snacks with the kids. Then letting them go outside to run around in their rain boots and coats that always end-up coming off.

What part of your current job is your favorite? I love hiring candidates and seeing them succeed and achieve their professional goals. Many I recruited from campus and it’s fun to see them transition to the business and grow their confidence and professional brand.

What was the most memorable event that you experienced in college? Traveling through Scandinavia and Russia with our concert band.

How do you like to spend a rainy day? Curled up on the couch, under a blanket, reading or watching TV with my hubby.

Secretary: Kristin Nisbet-White, University of Illinois Springfield 

What was the most memorable event that you experienced in college? Studying abroad in London for a Summer.

What is your favorite activity to do locally and why? I love attending the farmer's market in downtown Springfield, Illinois.

What part of your current job is your favorite? The students and university and employer colleagues that I have the privilege to work with and the opportunity to build new relationships - in short -the people!

What was the most memorable event that you experienced in college? Graduating. I was the first in my family to do so.

What is your favorite activity to do locally and why? Cincinnati, OH has a great food scene believe it or not. I really enjoy experiencing all the new and eclectic restaurants.

What part of your current job is your favorite? Connecting students their first career and seeing their success


Director, College Membership: Martin Gahbauer, Elmhurst University

What is your favorite activity to do locally and why? Whenever I’m out West in California, Nevada, Utah etc., I HAVE to go to In ‘N Out burger. They have the best burger, fries and shake hands down!

Share one quote or saying you love that keeps you going: The one saying I always seem to come back to is “Be kind, because everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” We can all use a little more kindness in our lives, right?

Name three countries you would like to visit: I’d love to visit South Korea because my daughter is simply enthralled with BTS and it would be great to experience it with her; Russia – specifically St. Petersburg - because I’ve always been intrigued by the its architecture and history; and finally Croatia because it looks like such a beautiful and sunny place that’s a little off the beaten path.


Director, Advancement & Communications: John Link, Webster University

What is your hidden talent? Finding that extra hour or two in the day to get the job done.

What part of current job is your favorite? My favorite part of my job is seeing the tremendous amount of personal and professional growth of students during their time studying at Webster University.

What book, movie or video have you seen/read recently would you recommend? Why? I’d recommend seeing Mare of Easttown, starring Kate Winslet. The limited series (HBO) combines my two favorite genres, thrillers and drama.

What is your hidden talent? Interior decorating. Family and friends are always for my opinion on home decorating ideas. 

•What part of your current job is your favorite? My favorite part of my job is planning international seminars. It’s rewarding to be able to provide this experience to students cost free, especially for those who would not be able to travel abroad otherwise.


 Director, Professional Development: Dillon Waggoner, Ball State University

What is your favorite activity to do locally and why? Currently, I’m obsessed with a local coffee shop/board game store called Hitherto in Greenfield, Indiana

What part of your current job is your favorite? I actually really love presenting, especially on topics I get to have a little fun with

What book, movie or video have you seen/read recently would you recommend? Why? If you’re not keeping up on the new Star Wars content on Disney+, you should be!
