Legacy of Access & Opportunity Scholarship

The Legacy of Access & Opportunity Scholarship is a funding opportunity for a Midwest ACE (MWACE) member to support initiatives that expand access to professional development, career readiness, educational resources, and meaningful opportunities for students, colleagues, and campus communities. This scholarship honors MWACE's commitment to creating pathways for success and fostering environments where individuals can grow, connect, and thrive.

MWACE will award up to $500 to be used for the benefit of an organization, students, or the recipient's professional development.

Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to: professional development and training, campus programs and events, cross-campus collaborations, recruiting and outreach initiatives, workshops, leadership development opportunities, career education programs, or other efforts that increase access, encourage participation, and strengthen opportunities for engagement and success.

The award recipient will be announced during the Annual Conference. Following the completion of their initiative, the recipient will share the impact and outcomes of their project through one of the following methods:

  1. Submit a summary of their initiative to the Knowledge Center on the MWACE website.

  2. Write an article for inclusion in the MWACE newsletter.

  3. Submit a program proposal for consideration at a future annual conference or webinar.
