Description: Impostor phenomenon occurs when people doubt their abilities, talents, accomplishments, and are constantly plagued by the fear of being seen as fraudulent. This webinar will help individuals identify and define impostor phenomenon, how to begin separating themselves from the hijacker in their head, and use the resources and research to combat and overcome impostor phenomenon.

Aika Torres is a Graduate Assistant for the Career Development Center at the University of Illinois Springfield. After completing several summer internships at Harvard University and Vanderbilt University, in which Aika served as a mentor and residential proctor for gifted youths and exceptional learners, Aika’s passion for student affairs and education grew. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Leadership, in hopes that she can help her community and continue paving the way for equitable and accessible education, just like those who helped Aika.
