DEI Committee Webinar | Creating Greater Access to Effective Career Services
Tuesday, April 19, 2022
11:00 am - 12:00 pm CST / 12:00 pm - 1:00pm EST

College students with disabilities underutilize career services, gain less work experience, and fall short of learning how to self-advocate for workplace accommodations compared to non-disabled undergraduates.  This is particularly true of students with physical disabilities. Consequently, college graduates with disabilities are employed at only 25.7% compared to 72.1% of graduates without disabilities (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2021).  Learn more about these barriers to equitable outcomes and how you can partner with disability allies to engage students from this underserved population in outstanding career development.
