AwardsMidwest ACE recognizes members contributions through multiple award opportunities. Award winners are recognized at the Midwest ACE Annual Conference. Founders Legacy AwardEstablished in 2004, the Founders Legacy Award recognizes and honors the founding members of the MCPA Affirmative Action Committee: Thelma Cook, Linda Bates-Parker, Tony Proctor, Vance Shaw, and Mike Shin. Through their wisdom, leadership, and perseverance, these five pioneers helped expand access, participation, and opportunity throughout the organization. This award honors their legacy by recognizing a Midwest ACE member who has demonstrated consistent and significant leadership in removing barriers, broadening participation, and creating professional opportunities for all. Founders Distinguished Service AwardIn honor of the six founders of Midwest ACE, a special recognition award will be given to active members (which includes current Honorary membership status) of the Association who have made a truly distinguished contribution to the Association and the profession over an entire career. Gratitude AwardsThe award winners possess the following six core attributes; Teamwork, Leadership, Resourcefulness, Innovation, Attitude, and Focus. Gratitude award winners are announced at the Midwest ACE Annual Conference.

Impact and Innovation AwardThe Award for Impact and Innovation is presented annually to two members of the Association. The awards are for an early-career professional and a mid-career professional who exhibit exemplary professional accomplishments, a positive IMPACT on the Association, and INNOVATION in the career services and recruiting field. Nominees must be members of the Association, demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of the field, and be a positive role model for the profession and their peers. The award for early-career professionals is designated for nominees who have been employed in the career services or recruiting field for less than five years. The award for mid-career professionals is designated for nominees who have been employed in the career services or recruiting field of more than five years and members of Midwest ACE for a minimum of two years. J.W. Paquette Superior Leadership AwardInstituted in 1991, this award recognizes active members who have made a consistent and significant leadership contribution to Midwest ACE. Click here for a list of past recipients
