International and domestic students are increasingly looking beyond the US for career opportunities. This presentation will provide an overview of European labor market trends, and then dive into the study, research, work and career opportunities available and the nuances involved with each option. You will leave this workshop feeling more comfortable with advising students about international job search options and career opportunities.

Presented by Jessica Schueller, MBA, M.Sc.

Jessica Schueller is an international career services consultant focused on Europe and Germany. Her global work and study experience spans 8 countries and several years in the areas of global career services, international program and project management, international student and scholar advising, and higher education research. Before moving back to the US and beginning her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Miami University (Ohio), she founded Germany Career Coach, which now serves thousands of international students every year at 30+ universities and educational organizations across the globe. She holds an Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degree in Research and Innovation in Higher Education from universities in Austria, Finland, Portugal, India as well as an MBA in Education and Research Management from the University of Oldenburg in Germany. Her research on career services internationalization has been featured in the Journal of Comparative & International Higher Education, the Journal of Student Financial Aid, International Higher Education, and the SAGE Handbook of Graduate Employability.
