So You Want to be A Director

Are you ready to take the next step in your career development career and lead a team of your own?  In addition to all of the common steps in getting to the next level of your career, join us as we address specific skill sets necessary to become a director of career services. 

We’ll spend time talking about how to gain experience and communicate your accomplishments in these specific areas: leading and managing others, financial management, strategic planning and visioning, and navigating the politics of higher education. These are skills no one teaches you in graduate programs or training/onboarding for new positions but they are essential.

At the end of the session you will be able to gauge your own skill level in these important areas and have an action plan for preparing and pursuing positions of leadership within the field of career development.
